Responsibilities:

  • Data Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain data pipelines using Matillion to load and transform data into Snowflake.
  • Snowflake Management: Utilize strong Snowflake skills for data manipulation, tuning, and creating complex data structures (e.g., tables, views).
  • Data Modeling and Warehousing: Conduct data analysis, mapping, and modeling, applying data warehousing concepts to build effective data models.
  • Performance Optimization: Troubleshoot and optimize the performance of data pipelines and existing workflows.
  • Collaboration: Work with stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for data processes and architectural decisions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Snowflake: Strong experience with Snowflake, including its architecture and data manipulation capabilities.
  • Matillion: Experience with Matillion for data integration and transformation, including creating and managing jobs and pipelines.
  • SQL: Strong SQL skills are essential.
  • ETL/ELT: Experience in ETL/ELT processes is crucial.
  • Cloud Platform: Experience with cloud platforms is often required (e.g., AWS).
  • Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities.
