Ou client is currently looking for a Service Desk Technician – Level II to provide technical advice and support to system users experiencing technical issues relating to computer hardware, software, and peripherals. Ensure that the company's systems are maintained and kept in working order to minimize any interruptions in business.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and guidance to resolve users' computer hardware and software problems
- Provide user support with inquiries regarding passwords, connectivity, printing, and similar concerns.
- Communicate with users via phone, chat, email, and/or a support ticketing system to assess the scope of the problem and determine what, if any, resolution steps users have performed.
- Apply knowledge of computer software and hardware to assist users in resolving problems.
- Install or assist with the installation and set-up of new hardware, software, and peripheral equipment such as monitors, keyboards and printers for users ensuring proper installation of cables.
- Coordinate service or replacement of defective products from vendors and manufacturers.
- Maintain knowledge of technical innovations, trends, and best practices; make recommendations for new software and hardware.
- Read technical manuals and conduct computer diagnostics.
- Provide status and completion information to managers and/or users.
- Maintain logs of support services from the ticketing system or other appropriate database.
- Assist with the testing of IT system releases, upgrades, and other changes.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education And Experience Required
- Associate's degree from a college/or university; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Familiarity with help desk ticketing systems.
- Experience working in an IT support role.
- Hands-on experience and knowledge of Windows OS.
- Experience troubleshooting mobile devices, tablets, and associated peripherals
Skills And Abilities Required
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Understanding of support tools and how technology is used to provide services.
- Able to break down technological processes and deliver clear, step-by-step instructions.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve a variety of technical issues
- Ability to explain technical issues to nontechnical individuals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Capable of working independently while maintaining a team player attitude.
- Exceptional multi-tasking and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
- Able to travel within the Cincinnati and NKY area +/-5% of the time.
