Overview

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our dynamic team at House of Tanoa Kava Bar. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology and customer service, with experience in dining and nightlife settings. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for crafting beverages, providing exceptional service, and creating an inviting atmosphere for our guests. Your ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks will be essential in ensuring a smooth operation during busy shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve Kava Teas, Wellness drinks and other non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Engage with customers to provide excellent service, taking orders and offering recommendations based on preferences.
  • Operate POS systems for order processing and cash handling.
  • Manage inventory levels, restocking supplies as needed while monitoring waste.
  • Collaborate staff to coordinate service, ideas, feedback and recommendations to management.
  • Ensure compliance with local health and safety regulations related to food handling and beverage service.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately, maintaining accountability for cash register operations.

Skills

  • POS systems is preferred.
  • Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple orders during peak hours.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating memorable guest experiences.
  • Previous experience in dining, bar, nightclub settings is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations in the food industry.
  • Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and sales transactions.
  • Experience in brewing or knowledge of various kava, kratom beverage types is a plus.
