Our client, a large federal contractor, is looking to hire an Information Technology (IT) Asset Visibility & Security Engineer for a 12-month remote contract. The consultant will be a technical contributor that will be implementing cybersecurity and IT asset lifecycle management strategies protecting the digital network, connected assets, hosted applications and data, and employees within the Information Technology (IT) environment supporting business, financial, and retail activities.

The role is also responsible for infrastructure, application and user administration of the Tanium environment. The Tanium environment is engaged with a heterogeneous mixture of over 100,000 end-user and server systems.

Required Skills

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance and successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process requiring the completion of detailed forms and fingerprinting

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, preferred but not required.

  • If resources do not have a relevant college degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required.

  • Strong demonstrated experience in large enterprise IT environment including 8+ years of IT security experience and application of asset visibility solutions towards IT hardware and software asset management security efforts

  • Management supporting both IT operations and security efforts including OS patching, application maintenance, vulnerability management, and security event investigation support.
  • Candidates must also have documented enterprise-based experience as a Tanium administrator, and Tanium certification.
  • Specific technical knowledge, experience, and certifications with relevant tools such as Armis Centrix, Splunk
  • Knowledge object development, Windows and Linux system administration,

Desired Skills

  • Candidates would benefit from having relevant technical certifications (CISSP, CISA, CISM, GIAC, RHCE, CPTE, or CEH)
  • AI tool application for data analysis and business process improvement, are also desired
