Qualifications
Job Summary:

The Third Key Holder reports to the Store Manager and is tasked with opening and closing a store location. Also responsible for serving customers to keep stores running safely and efficiently to achieve a profitable store location and holding to Hollywood Feeds #1 Policy "Do what is right by the customer."

Third Key Holder Responsibilities:
  • Arriving early to open and staying late to close the store to ensure the store is prepared for business.
  • Assuming managerial responsibilities in the event of management absences.
  • Greeting and assisting customers daily according to the Hollywood Feed customer service standards.
  • Demonstrate the ability and knowledge to thoroughly explain the store products to best meet the pet and customer needs.
  • Communicate openly and respectfully with supervisors, corporate office, and coworkers.
  • Effectively operate both independently and as a part of a team by offering support and training to new employees.
  • Expected to have open and weekend availability including closing 3 nights per week.
  • Employees will be required to unload truck pallets and stock shelves.
  • Expected to learn the Hollywood Feed point-of-sale system to:
  • Check out Customer Purchases
  • Create Customer Accounts
  • Open and Close Registers
  • Perform other inventory management duties including inventories and cycle counts.
  • Attend Hollywood Feed educational classes as scheduled.
  • Expected to keep up with weekly store maintenance.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Abilities:
  • The love and dedication to animals is an essential requirement for Hollywood Feed's culture.
  • Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills.
  • Excellent sales and customer service skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of the store products.
  • Ability to anticipate customer's needs.
  • Ability to recommend store products to customers.
  • Ability to operate or to quickly learn the store's point-of-sale system.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a minimum of 2 years driving experience. (This time frame can include learner's permit).
Education:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Physically able to lift 40lbs repeatedly up to head height to stock shelves multiples times a day and unload delivery pallets.
  • Physically able to continuously bend, kneel, push, pull, reach, and twist multiples times a day.
  • Physically able to stand/walk for up to 8-10 hours.
  • Physically able to climb ladders multiple times a day to put up and access products for customers.
  • Will need to meet the requirements of our Safe Driving Policy and be willing to drive our company owned Same Day Delivery Vehicle.
