Job Overview

Peoria Vein Center is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. This is a part-time position that will be on-site. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office, providing exceptional patient service, and supporting our clinical staff. This position is responsible for assisting our providers in both exam and treatment room settings.

Duties

  • Manage patient scheduling and appointments, ensuring efficient use of clinic resources.
  • Room patient, chart prep, check vitals and update patient information.
  • Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Provide clerical support including filing, documentation review, and data entry into EHR systems.
  • Help assist in surgeries from prepping patients to discharge instructions.
  • Assist with care plans and coordinate communication between patients and healthcare providers.
  • Clean and maintain exam rooms and surgery rooms
  • Assist with returning patient calls and pre-procedure scheduling.

Skills

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Familiarity with EHR systems
  • Strong computer skills
  • Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to ensure positive patient interactions.
  • Previous experience in a medical office setting or clinic environment is preferred

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $ $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
