Sales Engineer

ProChem Inc. is seeking highly motivated individuals with experience in the water treatment industry to manage and expand a customer base. We are looking for a remote Sales Professional based out of a home office in Southern Alabama. We are also actively seeking Sales Engineers in Florida and Tennessee.
This role is ideal for an individual with industrial water treatment service and sales experience who thrives in an autonomous environment, free from bureaucratic management and time-consuming reporting. Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation includes a competitive salary, dependent on experience and qualifications, and uncapped commissions. Our commission plan is designed to highly reward top performance, with no caps or resetting targets each year. We will also consider small relocation packages for the right candidates with strong industry backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Three years or greater Industrial water treatment experience with all, or a combination of, the following products and services: Wastewater chemicals, systems, and operations; Utility water treatment systems and chemicals; Specialty ion exchange products; and membrane systems and treatment.
- A technical degree is preferred but not required if a candidate demonstrates the necessary skill sets for success.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and all standard electronic communication modes.
- Solid problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently.
Essential Functions of This Role:
- Safety First
- Grow a customer base through personal prospecting efforts, complemented by leads from our website and referrals from existing customers.
- Regularly perform water analysis and engage in advanced problem-solving to apply appropriate solutions for customers.
- Perform required services for customers as dictated by contracts and obligations.
- Calibrate and maintain water treatment equipment as needed.
- Monitor program performance and make necessary adjustments and recommendations.
- Monitor product inventories and place orders.
- Maintain and clean company equipment.
- Negotiate contracts and service agreements with existing and prospective customers.
Physical Demands:
- Some overnight travel will be necessary, with the extent depending on territory management.
- May require long hours and a varied work schedule at times.
- Required to walk long distances, stand, climb, balance, stoop, bend, crouch, or crawl.
- Constantly use hands to handle, feel, or manipulate objects.
- Lift and move items such as 60lb pails and maneuver lb drums.
