Description: Setup, programs and operates two to four axis CNC turning centers to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts. Apply knowledge of shop mathematics, machinability of materials, and manufacturing techniques.

Key responsibilities include reading blueprints, loading and unloading materials, setting up the machine and tooling, and monitoring the production run to ensure quality and safety. Perform quality inspections, conduct light maintenance, and keep production logs.

Qualifications:

· Ability to program, set up and operate CNC lathes using either G-code or Quick code.

· Inspect in process and finished parts using a variety of measuring instruments to ensure they meet specifications, making adjustments as needed.

· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.

· Experience with Fanuc type and Haas controllers

· Working knowledge of Mastercam

· Ability to troubleshoot issues and make adjustments to ensure part accuracy and efficient production.

Duties:

· Interpret blueprints, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.

· Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on CNC lathes.

· Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors, such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.

· Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out‑of‑tolerance machining and adjust machine controls as required.

· Verify dimensions of finished part using measuring instruments, such as micrometers, height gauges, bore gages and gauge blocks, etc.

· Properly deburr edges and holes of parts. Protect parts from damage during run and subsequent operations.

· Maintain equipment in good working order, organize tooling and fixtures utilizing lean principles.

· Collaborate with department leads, supervisors, and/or management to troubleshoot and report equipment issues promptly.

· Perform other duties, as assigned.

Pay: $ $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
