Director of IT
to lead a rapidly growing organization's technology operations, development, and infrastructure.

This is a critical leadership role for an experienced IT professional who can balance technical expertise with people management. The ideal candidate is both strategic and tactical - someone who isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves to solve problems, manage teams, and drive results.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all IT operations, systems, and infrastructure, managing a team of network engineers, developers, QA, and business analysts
  • Lead both
    network
    and
    DevOps
    functions (approx. 50/50 split)
  • Manage and support on-premise servers and cloud-based systems; ensure reliability and uptime across all environments
  • Partner with external vendors and managed service providers to maintain strong network performance and security
  • Provide hands-on technical support when needed such as responding to escalations, resolving critical system issues, and ensuring minimal downtime
  • Oversee software tools and environments including VMware, Horizon, Microsoft, Kasm, and Proxmox
  • Drive IT projects to completion on time and within scope; ensure smooth coordination between departments and stakeholders
  • Build, mentor, and motivate a team of 14+ IT professionals, fostering accountability and collaboration
  • Communicate clearly with executives, internal teams, and clients to ensure confidence and transparency during high-pressure situations

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive IT experience with at least 3–5 years in a leadership or director-level role
  • Strong technical knowledge across network infrastructure, DevOps, and systems administration
  • Proven experience managing both on-premise and cloud-based environments
  • Hands-on experience with VMware, Horizon, Microsoft environments, and related tools
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor technical teams while maintaining a hands-on approach
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to perform effectively under pressure
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; capable of working directly with executives and cross-functional teams
  • Humble, professional demeanor with a strong work ethic
