Property Accounting Manager (Controller)

Auburn, MA

$72,000 – $75,000 per year

We're seeking a Property Accounting Manager (Controller) to oversee financial reporting, compliance, and accounting operations for a growing portfolio. This position plays a key role in ensuring accurate financial management and supporting long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all accounting functions including A/P, A/R, payroll, and monthly close in Yardi Voyager
  • Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and lender packages
  • Monitor cash flow, reserves, and perform variance analysis
  • Oversee audits, tax filings, and ensure HUD/LIHTC/DHCD compliance
  • Lead, train, and support accounting staff while improving processes and controls

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred)
  • 5-7 years of accounting experience, including real estate or property management
  • Proficiency in Yardi Voyager required
  • Strong GAAP knowledge and audit/tax experience
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and organizational skills
