Senior Manager of Business Operations

Location: Danville, CA (Onsite, Full-Time)

This is an in-office position based in Danville, CA. Remote or hybrid work arrangements are not available.

Cooke & Associates, Inc. is seeking a driven and experienced Senior Manager of Business Operations to lead teams, optimize operations, and drive excellence across our growing Protective Services and Public Safety Support divisions. This pivotal role will help shape the next stage of CAI's growth and market expansion.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Manager of Business Operations to lead and enhance all aspects of company operations, ensuring alignment, accountability, and operational performance across the organization.

This role plays a key part in driving organizational performance, scalability, and alignment across all business functions. You'll work closely with senior leadership to translate strategy into action, optimize processes, and strengthen communication between departments. This position offers the opportunity for advancement within the company to a senior leadership role for someone who demonstrates initiative, sound judgment, and alignment with our mission and values. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate daily operations across all business units, ensuring procedures, schedules, and deliverables are executed efficiently, accurately, and on time.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage department managers and their teams, fostering a culture of professionalism, responsiveness, and continuous improvement.
  • Translate strategic direction into actionable operational plans that deliver measurable results.
  • Review and enhance operational processes and performance metrics to drive communication, accountability, and service delivery excellence.
  • Oversee all operational aspects to ensure resources align with business priorities and operational readiness.
  • Provide proactive, solutions-focused leadership to resolve operational challenges and ensure readiness for new business opportunities.
  • Operate effectively in both domestic and international environments, understanding logistical, regulatory, and cultural factors impacting performance.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of proven, verifiable experience in operations management, preferably within executive security, corporate security, public safety, or other service-based industries requiring precision and accountability.
  • Strong leadership background in a multi-department environment; experience managing managers preferred.
  • Military or law enforcement experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan strategically, execute tactically, and lead teams in dynamic environments.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to keep staff and clients informed, engaged, and aligned.
  • Strong decision-making, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Proven ability to balance immediate operational needs with sustained process improvement and long-range objectives.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion.
  • Possesses strong computer and technology skills with the ability to efficiently use various software, scheduling, and reporting systems.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professionalism, integrity, and operational excellence in line with CAI's mission and values.

Compensation, Benefits & Schedule

  • Salary: $110,000–$130,000 annually. Based on experience, training, and other related qualifications.

  • This position follows a standard Monday through Friday schedule and may occasionally require extended hours, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends to support key operational priorities.
