Job Description

As a Security Officer- Utility Site Patrol - Full Time in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Patrol Officer in a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service and communication. This role requires driving as part of your responsibilities. At Allied Universal, you will be part of a team that values agility, reliability, and innovation, always delivering through teamwork and integrity.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment.Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the utility location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.Monitor the premises for any unusual activity and report findings according to established protocols.Assist visitors, employees, and/or contractors with access control and general inquiries as needed.Collaborate with Allied Universal management and local authorities when required to address security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

A Transportation Security Administration issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential is required.A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
