We're looking for a sharp
Tax Accountant
with
1+ years of income tax experience
to join our client, a dynamic CPA firm right in the heart of
Uptown Dallas
.

You'll be a key player, getting exposure to diverse clients and projects. Think of yourself as a financial problem-solver, not just a preparer.

  • Tax Strategy & Prep:
    Prepare complex tax returns (Individual, Corporation, Partnership) and dive into
    tax planning and financial analysis
    to save clients money.
  • Advisory Work:
    Team up with firm principals on
    client consulting engagements,
    financial analyses, and special projects. You won't be stuck in a corner
  • Full-Cycle Client Support:
    Go beyond tax prep by helping small businesses with accounting
    review/cleanup
    , reconciling statements, managing the General Ledger, and providing direct support to their in-house teams.
  • IRS Correspondence:
    Be the hero who helps resolve tax issues with the IRS.
  • Tech-Forward Work:
    Utilize tools like Lacerte, QuickBooks, and Excel to deliver efficient, high-quality results.

Preferred Experience:

  • Education:
    Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting.
  • 1-2 years of public accounting experience, focusing on tax prep is a
    major plus.
  • Tax Know-How:
    1+ years of income tax preparation experience is required.
  • Tech Stack:
    Proficiency in
    Microsoft Excel/Word
    and operational experience with
    QuickBooks
    and/or other accounting software.
    Lacerte Tax experience is a bonus
  • Communication:
    Excellent communication skills—you'll be working directly with firm principals and clients.
  • Bonus Points:
    CPA certification is a fantastic differentiator, but
    not required to start.
