About the Role

CourtBloom is launching structured youth development programs for children ages 2–10. We are seeking a Youth Development Advocate to support children and families by assisting with engagement during sessions, tracking individual progress, and ensuring every child feels supported within our structured delivery model. This role focuses on connection, behavior support, and family communication to ensure positive outcomes for each participant. As enrollment increases, additional hours will be available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support children during sessions to promote engagement, cooperation, and positive behavior
  • Build relationships with families and serve as a consistent point of connection
  • Track participant progress, attendance, and engagement using provided systems
  • Identify individual needs (social, emotional, or basic support needs) and communicate them to leadership
  • Help maintain a welcoming, structured environment aligned with CourtBloom's standards

Preferred Benchmarks for Success

Candidates with the following backgrounds often excel in this role:

  • Education, counseling, youth development, child psychology, recreation, school administration
  • 4+ years of experience working with children or families in structured settings
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with children across developmental stages
  • Comfortable in active environments and able to support movement-based programming

Position Details

  • Compensation: $30/hour
  • Starting Hours: Approximately 6 hours per week (2 evenings)
  • Hours Increase: Additional hours available as programming expands
  • Contract Type: 1099 independent contractor
  • Paid Training: Mid-January 2026
  • Program Launch: February 2026
  • Screening Requirements: Background check, reference check, drug screening

Certifications Required:

CourtBloom will cover the cost of the following certifications as part of onboarding:

  • CPR & First Aid Certification (AHA or American Red Cross)
  • Concussion Awareness Certification
  • SafeSport or equivalent youth protection certification
  • CourtBloom Delivery Certification (internal training on standards and curriculum)
