The Show Aloha Challenge Foundation is a Hawaii-based nonprofit dedicated to serving the community through acts of kindness, charitable initiatives, and large-scale seasonal events. Its signature production, Show Aloha Land, is one of Hawaii's most popular holiday experiences, featuring Christmas light tunnels, festive train rides, themed displays, interactive activities, and community programs.

Position Summary

The Food Booth Crew is a hands-on seasonal role responsible for operating our all-takeout food booths at Show Aloha Land. This position is fast-paced and guest-facing, with approximately 90% of time spent on your feet. Duties include taking orders, expediting tickets through kitchen stations, building complete orders, pouring drinks, and handing food to guests.

Key Responsibilities

Cashier

  • Process guest orders and payments at register
  • Handle cash, credit, and mobile payments accurately

Expeditor

  • Pull printed tickets and assemble orders from each kitchen station
  • Ensure every item is correct and properly packaged

Runner

  • Move completed orders from expo line to drink station
  • Verify order accuracy against ticket

Drink Station

  • Pour fountain drinks, hot cocoa, coffee, and specialty beverages
  • Add lids, straws, carriers, condiments
  • Hand completed orders to guests at pickup window

Utility / Dish

  • Wash dishes and utensils in commercial dishwasher
  • Restock cups, lids, napkins, and to-go containers
  • Maintain clean and safe work areas

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Ability to work on your feet for extended shifts (90% standing/walking)
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, hot, loud environment
  • Food Handler's card preferred (we can assist if needed)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to engage with the public
  • Team player with a flexible, can-do attitude
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays during the season

Schedule & Conditions

  • Seasonal employment: November 6, 2025 – January 30, 2026
  • Evening and weekend shifts required
  • Outdoor work environment with exposure to heat, steam, noise, and large crowds

Compensation & Benefits

  • Starting pay: $18.00 per hour
