Job Description

The Goddard School of Business and Economics at Weber State University is accepting applications for a non-tenure track position at the Instructor rank. This is a nine-month, full-time career position in the Department of Business Administration and Marketing. Annual contract renewal will be contingent on satisfactory ongoing performance. Courses taught will have a primary emphasis in Business Law and Ethics.

Job Duties

The GSBE expects a consistent record of high-quality, effective teaching and active engagement in service activities. A 4/4 teaching load is standard for non-tenure track faculty.

Required Qualifications

Required

• Juris doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred

• Master's degree in an appropriate discipline.
• Teaching interest and expertise in business law, business ethics, contract management, general management.
• Preference given to those with eight or more years in law practice, and to those who maintain a current state bar license.
• Actively involved in the Academy of Legal Studies in Business.
• Teaching experience in both undergraduate and MBA courses in the discipline.
• Demonstrated ability (or clear potential) for effective teaching and a willingness to engage in service consistent with the mission of Weber State University and the Goddard School.
