We are currently seeking an applicant for a full-time accountant who will e xamine, analyze, and interpret accounting records to prepare financial statements, give advice, or audit and evaluate statements prepared by others. Prepare and maintain financial records to track the organization's assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities.ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:The following duties and responsibilities represent the essential functions of this job that an individual must be able to perform with or without a reasonable accommodation:P erform general cost accounting and other related duties for the organizationExecute daily treasury management procedures and make journal entriesCode invoices, set up new accounts, and reconcile accountsReconcile bank accounts at least monthly, verify deposits, and address inquiries from banksReconcile cash disbursement accounts, payroll, customer accounts, and other financial accountsVerify and/or complete ACH payment of invoices associated with accounts payableRecord ACH and credit card deposits associated with accounts receivablePrepare, post, verify, and record customer transactions related to accounts receivableManage accounts receivable collections, to include delinquent letters and court proceedingsMaintain knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and proceduresProvide outside auditors with assistance by gathering necessary account information and documents to perform annual auditsAssist the Payroll Specialist and Human Resources Division with payroll processing as neededAssist Chief Financial Officer and Vice President, Accounting, with financial analysis, department requests, and special projectsNo travel requiredNote: Duties and responsibilities are not all-inclusive and may change at any time, with or without notice. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions where applicable.QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, & EXPERIENCE:The following qualifications represent the training, education, certifications, licensures, and/or work experience required to perform the essential duties and responsibilities successfully:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field requiredMinimum three years of related experience requiredExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailKnowledge of general financial accounting and cost accountingAbility to correctly prepare tax reportsEffective use of technology and information systems, including, but not limited to, Microsoft 365 and relevant accounting software like NetSuite, QuickBooks, and DynamicsPHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:Physical demands : Performing the duties of this job requires near visual acuity, the ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds, and gross manipulation. Additionally, the employee:Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and occasional stoopingFine manipulation and keyboardingMust be able to lift and/or move up to 15 poundsMust be free of tuberculosis in a communicable formWork environment : While performing the duties of this job, the employee will primarily work in an office setting.
