Job Summary

The HR Generalist is responsible for supporting the day-to-day functions of the Human Resources department, ensuring efficient HR operations and delivery of excellent service to employees and managers. This position manages a variety of HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, benefits administration, and training support. The HR Generalist acts as a key resource for employees while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and HR best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for designated positions, including job postings, screening, interviews, and offer coordination.
  • Oversee new hire orientation and ensure smooth onboarding experiences.
  • Serve as a first point of contact for employees with questions, concerns, or conflicts.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and retention efforts.
  • Assist with investigations and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  • Administer employee benefit programs (health, retirement, FMLA, etc.)
  • Manage leave of absence process to include the interactive accommodation process (i.e. FMLA, CFRA, DPL, PFL ADA).
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Assist with policy updates, reporting, and audits.
  • Ensure accurate and confidential maintenance of employee records.
  • Prepares HR reports and metrics as required.
  • Support the planning and delivery of employee training programs.
  • Track training participation and evaluate effectiveness.
  • Assist managers and employees with performance review processes.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers on performance-related matters.
  • Partner with the HR Assistant to ensure smooth HR operations.
  • Support policy implementation, benefits administration, leave management, and payroll coordination.
  • Contribute to HR projects and process improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a generalist capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of CA employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite. ADP Workforce exp a plus.
  • HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred but not required.

  • Monday – Friday work schedule

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70, $80,000.00 per year
