Business Development Manager – Intelligence Community

Seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to lead growth efforts within the Intelligence Community. This is a high-impact, individual contributor role with significant opportunity for career growth with the Federal Systems Integrators unit of Pure Storage. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Intelligence Community agencies such as DIA, NSA, NGA, NRO, ODNI, CIA, and IC partners with a proven track record of driving business across this network.

As a BDM, you will shape and execute strategic sales initiatives, evangelize data solutions capabilities, develop key client relationships, and manage the full business development lifecycle—from opportunity identification through capture support and contract award. This role is instrumental in helping accelerate growth objectives and expand our footprint within the federal market. Responsibilities

Drive the development and execution of strategic growth plans focused on Intelligence Community support.Identify and qualify new business opportunities aligned with Pure Storage's capabilities and long-term goals.Build and sustain trusted relationships with senior leaders, decision-makers, and partners across targeted agencies.Develop compelling client presentations and tailored messaging that align with mission needs and agency objectives.

  • Collaborate with internal teams—including Account Teams, Capture, Proposal, and Executive Leadership—to lead winning BD efforts.

Maintain and manage a qualified pipeline, monitor forecast accuracy, and contribute to proposal development and pricing strategies.Represent Pure Storage at key industry and government events to enhance visibility and support lead generation.Play a key role in marketing strategy, teaming, and solution positioning.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience supporting or engaging with Intelligence Community organizations or equivalent government service agencies.
  • Demonstrated success in a business development or capture role within the federal space.
  • Deep familiarity with the DoW/IC acquisition lifecycle, contracting vehicles, and procurement strategy.
  • Proven ability to build and execute account and call plans, campaign strategies, and long-range growth roadmaps (6–48 months).
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage C-level executives and agency stakeholders.
  • Track record of closing business, meeting or exceeding targets, and contributing to proposal wins.
  • Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce) and pipeline management processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Existing relationships within two or more Intelligence Community agencies.
  • Experience in solutions-oriented business development (e.g., IT services, cybersecurity, analytics, mission support).
  • Knowledge of Pure Storage's service offerings or adjacent domains.

Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations. 

This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.

The annual base salary range is: $166,600—$249,900 USD
