The Warehouse Operations Manager oversees the entire distribution plan, managing warehouse operations to ensure efficiency in dispatching, storing, and handling products.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Warehouse Operations: Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping processes.
- Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise warehouse staff, ensuring they adhere to safety protocols and operational procedures.
- Forecasting and Planning: Project product volume and create schedules for pick-up and drop-off to optimize workflow and resource allocation.
- Process Improvement: Analyze current processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment for all employees.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock counts, and implement strategies to optimize stock management.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as procurement and logistics, to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of products.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of proven experience in warehouse management or operations, with a strong understanding of inventory management and logistics.
- Strong leadership abilities to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with staff, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control software.
Shift: First Shift, Monday Through Friday.
Working Environment: Duties regularly require employee to stand, walk, and reach with hands, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Duties will require proficient use of computer, software, phone systems and other similar technology. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
