Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager I, Security and Emergency Management Program (SEMP), the incumbent performs a variety of complex consultative and analytical assignments in program administration, budgeting, business services, program control, and special projects related to emergency response cost recovery.

This position may be extended up to an additional 12 months (24 months maximum) or may become permanent.

The ideal candidate will have experience with State and Department policies, procedures, and practices in business administration, including budgeting, program control, program administration, planning, business services, Federal Agency Management Agency (FEMA) cost recovery and mitigation funding, and related areas. Ideal candidate must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are required. The candidate must be proactive, take initiative, approach projects, and tasks with a sense of urgency, maintain a high degree of professionalism, diplomacy, and integrity. The ideal candidate must be approachable and enjoy working with all levels of the department and varied personalities to accomplish goals. Knowledge of the Standardized Emergency Management System / National Incident Management System / Incident Command System (SEMS/NIMS/ICS). Experience with computer applications such as MS Teams, SharePoint, RStudio, and SAP are a plus
