Senior Electrical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and versatile
Senior Electrical Engineer
to lead the design, analysis, and development of advanced electronic circuit boards and system-level electrical architectures supporting mission-critical defense and aerospace applications. In addition to core engineering responsibilities, this individual will serve as the
local Facility Security Officer (FSO)
, overseeing security compliance activities for the site. Prior FSO experience is not required—training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

Electrical Design & Development

• Lead the design of complex electronic circuit boards, including analog, digital, mixed-signal, and power electronics.
• Develop detailed schematics, layouts, and design documentation using industry-standard tools (e.g., Altium Designer, or similar).
• Conduct circuit simulations, component selection, and signal/power integrity analysis.
• Perform system-level electrical integration, ensuring design compatibility with mechanical, RF, and firmware subsystems.
• Develop and review test plans, verification procedures, and qualification testing for boards and systems.
• Support manufacturing and production through design-for-manufacturability (DFM) and design-for-testability (DFT) reviews.
• Participate in design reviews, peer evaluations, and troubleshooting of electrical issues across prototype and production hardware.

Systems Engineering & Integration

• Contribute to electrical system architecture and interface definitions for multi-board or multi-module systems.
• Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, and RF engineers to ensure proper system-level operation and compliance with requirements.
• Support requirements definition, traceability, and verification throughout the product lifecycle.

Facility Security Officer (FSO) Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary on-site FSO, ensuring compliance with NISPOM, DoD security directives, and related regulations.
• Coordinate personnel security clearances, visit authorizations, and classified information handling.
• Maintain security records, self-inspections, and communication with the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA).
• Oversee secure storage, document control, and classified systems in coordination with corporate security leadership.
• Receive formal training and certification to fulfill all FSO duties and responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Education:
  Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred).
• Experience:
  Minimum 8 years of experience in electrical board or systems design, preferably in defense, aerospace, or other high-reliability industries.
• Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout tools (Altium Designer preferred).
• Experience with mixed-signal or power electronics, EMI/EMC compliance, and MIL-STD design practices.
• Strong understanding of electrical test and measurement, including use of oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and power analyzers.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
• Security Clearance:
  Active DoD Secret clearance required; TS eligibility preferred.
• Other:
  U.S. Citizenship required per federal contract requirements.
