Job Summary

The Night Auditor plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel during overnight hours. This position is responsible for performing front desk duties, managing guest services, and conducting nightly audits of financial transactions. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and a keen attention to detail, ensuring that all guests have a pleasant experience while maintaining the integrity of hotel operations.

Duties

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide exceptional customer service throughout their stay.
  • Manage check-ins and check-outs efficiently, ensuring accurate guest information is recorded.
  • Conduct nightly audits of financial transactions, including balancing cash drawers and verifying credit card charges.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain knowledge of hotel services, amenities, and local attractions to assist guests effectively.
  • Utilize phone systems to manage incoming calls and relay messages accurately.
  • Prepare reports detailing occupancy rates, revenue, and other key metrics for management review.
  • Ensure the front desk area is clean, organized, and welcoming at all times.

Experience

  • Previous experience in hospitality or hotel management is preferred but not required.
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Proficiency in phone etiquette and handling multi-line phone systems.
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities are advantageous for communicating with diverse guests.
  • Familiarity with hospitality management software is a plus but not mandatory.
