About the Role
We are seeking an accomplished
Senior Key Account Manager
to lead growth and relationship development with some of the most strategic and high-value customers in the transportation and logistics industry. This position plays a pivotal role in driving substantial revenue expansion across existing accounts (typically $50M–$100M portfolios) while acquiring new, high-impact customers aligned with the company's strategic objectives.
As a trusted advisor, you'll collaborate closely with decision-makers at every level—promoting operational excellence and a full suite of logistics solutions that deliver measurable value. This position reports directly to the

Key Responsibilities
- Grow Strategic Accounts:
Expand service offerings and revenue within existing accounts through proactive relationship management and solution development. - New Business Development:
Identify, pursue, and convert qualified leads into long-term partnerships. - Client Engagement:
Conduct on-site meetings, lead proposals and presentations, negotiate terms, and close deals. - Executive Relationship Building:
Develop strong, multi-level relationships with operations and leadership teams at key accounts. - Achieve Performance Goals:
Consistently meet or exceed revenue, volume, and gross margin targets. - Pricing & Profitability:
Collaborate with pricing and operations teams to ensure competitive and profitable rate structures. - Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with internal stakeholders to resolve service issues and deliver seamless customer experiences. - Contract Management:
Oversee renewals, agreements, and compliance with company policies. - Sales Strategy:
Develop annual account plans and sales budgets aligned with strategic objectives. - CRM & Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of activities, opportunities, and communications. - Financial & Market Analysis:
Monitor account performance and industry trends to identify new opportunities. - Executive Presentations:
Deliver compelling, data-driven presentations to customers and internal leadership. - Customer & Industry Engagement:
Represent the company at client appreciation events, trade shows, and networking functions.
Qualifications
- Proven track record of exceeding sales goals in transportation, logistics, or supply chain industries.
- Minimum
10+ years of industry experience
with at least
5+ years managing key accounts
and closing complex deals. - Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to interpret financial data and develop profit-driven strategies.
- High emotional intelligence and collaborative leadership style.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field (
MBA preferred
). - Willingness to travel up to
50%
.
