Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Eagle Development Consultant with deep expertise in Eagle STAR and PACE platforms. The role involves designing, developing, and integrating Eagle-based solutions for enterprise-level investment management systems, ensuring high performance, scalability, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Eagle STAR & PACE Development

• Design, develop, and enhance Eagle STAR and PACE solutions including Message Center, IWS, PACE Uploader & Exporter, and STAR Panels
• Architect custom APIs and SDK extensions for integration with external systems such as Bloomberg, SimCorp, Finastra, and Snowflake
• Develop custom modules using Java, Python, or C# for automation and trade reconciliation workflows
• Build and optimize data pipelines using SQL, Python, Kafka, or Airflow for faster data ingestion and reporting
• Implement data governance and validation logic using PL/SQL and REST-based microservices

Solution Delivery

• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Portfolio Managers, and Operations Teams to gather technical requirements
• Develop design specifications and documentation following Agile and SDLC best practices
• Support the full development lifecycle from requirements to production support
• Perform incident triage, root cause analysis, and production issue resolution

Data Engineering & Optimization

• Build ETL and ELT pipelines integrating Eagle data with Oracle, SQL Server, and Snowflake
• Perform advanced PL/SQL performance tuning, partitioning, and query optimization
• Implement data lineage tracking, validation scripts, and data health dashboards using Python and SQL
• Automate Eagle batch jobs using Ansible, Jenkins, or GitLab CI/CD
• Optimize Eagle database schema and indexing for performance and integrity

Integration & Automation

• Develop middleware integrations using RESTful APIs, SOAP, Kafka, or MQ
• Create automation scripts using Python or Bash for scheduling and deployment
• Use Ansible and Puppet for configuration management and release automation
• Integrate ServiceNow or Jira for automated incident and change management

Technical Architecture & DevOps Enablement

• Lead architecture sessions for Eagle modernization and containerized deployments using Docker/Kubernetes
• Support CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Jenkins, and Nexus
• Collaborate with cloud teams for deployment on AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Implement security standards such as OAuth2.0, SAML, and JWT with compliance controls (SOC2, ISO27001)
• Conduct performance benchmarking, load testing, and failover simulations

Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with business, governance, and operations teams for enhancements
• Provide mentorship and code reviews for Eagle development teams
• Prepare architecture documents and technical blueprints
• Coordinate with BNY Mellon Eagle Investment Systems for patch deployment and roadmap alignment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering
• 15+ years of IT experience, including 10+ years with Eagle STAR and PACE (v15 or later)
• Expertise in Eagle Message Center, PACE Uploader & Exporter, STAR Panels, and IWS
• Strong experience in PL/SQL and database performance optimization
• Hands-on development in Java and Python for integration and customization
• Deep understanding of financial data models, data governance, and ETL processes
• Experience integrating with platforms such as Finastra or SimCorp Dimension preferred
• Proficiency in GitLab, Bitbucket, or MFS for version control
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
