Schaumburg, Illinois, United States Midwest Dental Sleep Ctr. Full time

Location:

Lombard and South Barrington. Candidate ideally lives in the Chicagoland area (Schaumburg / Roselle / Elk Grove Village)

Hours:

Full-time, 40 hrs/week, 4 × 10 hr shifts (7am - 5:30pm, no weekends)

Why This Role:

If you've built a career in kinesiology, social work/psych, durable medical equipment delivery/set-up, or assisting in physical therapy, chiropractic, or optometry and you're ready for a meaningful next step, this opportunity is for you. Join a growing practice where you'll help patients improve sleep and airway health—and bring your experience in patient care, education and physiology to a forward-thinking, specialized field.

What You'll Do (all training provided):

  • Assist with patient greeting and check-in as well as forms and questionnaire distribution.
  • Work alongside team of assistants and providers to document patient exams, assist with insurance/financial estimate review and payment collection.
  • Review questionnaires, complete dental CT x-rays and take vitals and digital impressions.
  • Submit digital impressions to dental lab and check cases in when returned from lab.
  • Provide patient education on oral appliance insertion, removal, cleaning and maintenance.
  • Schedule and manage follow-ups, document treatment plans in our Electronic Health Record and enter referrals.
  • Maintain infection-control procedures, room setup/breakdown, and support team operations.

What You Bring (required):

  • A Bachelors degree in a health, exercise, or behavioral science field.
  • 4-6 years post-undergrad experience in direct patient care or wellness roles (e.g., PT assistant, chiropractic/optometry assistant, social worker, health educator, medical scribe). We're seeking someone with a bit more depth to align with our team.
  • Strong communication, empathy, attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency (or willingness to learn) with EHR systems.
  • A reliable vehicle to travel between our multiple locations.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Hourly pay range: $21 – $24 per hour. Potential for bonus and growth/development once trained.
  • Full-time role (approx. 40 hours/week)
  • Benefits: health insurance, vision, dental, 401(k) with matching, paid time off, flexible spending account, life insurance.
  • Paid training, long-term career track.

Why You'll Love It Here:

  • You're not stepping into a clinical entry-level role — you're joining a specialty practice that values your prior experience, patient-care orientation, and drive to grow.
  • This is a rare hybrid of patient education + health science + tech work in a niche ("sleep & airway health") that's rapidly growing and high impact.
  • You'll be surrounded by like-minded professionals, enabling peer-level collaboration and career momentum.

How to Apply:

Please submit your resume with a brief note about:

1. Your 5+ years of direct patient care or wellness experience (highlight role + years)

2. What motivates you to move into dental sleep medicine / airway health

3. Your availability and willingness to travel between our nearby offices

We look forward to connecting with someone ready for a long-term career step, not a transitional stop. This role in not for pre-med, pre-dent, pre-APN, pre-PA, international trained provider seeking licensing or moving from another state.
