Certified Medical Assistant

We are looking for a compassionate, flexible, and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our growing OB/GYN practice. In this role, you will support physicians and physician assistants in delivering high-quality care to patients, assisting with both clinical and administrative tasks in a fast-paced, team-focused environment. A positive attitude, adaptability, and commitment to teamwork are key to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with examinations and treatments as directed by physicians or physician assistants in an OB/GYN clinical setting.
- Set up trays, instruments, and equipment for in-office procedures, including Vulvoscopy, IUD insertion/removal, Nexplanon insertion/removal, LEEP, Colposcopy, Hysteroscopy, and Incision & Drainage.
- Set up patients on Non-Stress Tests (NST) and ensure accurate monitoring.
- Assist providers during LEEP and hysteroscopy procedures.
- Administer injections, draw blood, perform point-of-care testing (POCT), and run urine samples.
- Conduct patient intake by obtaining vital signs, medical history, and current symptoms, and document accurately in the EMR system.
- Prepare, clean, and maintain exam rooms to ensure a safe and organized environment.
- Perform autoclaving and sterilization of instruments in compliance with infection control standards.
- Escort patients to and from exam rooms, ensuring comfort and excellent patient care throughout the visit.
- Manage inventory by ordering, organizing, and restocking medical supplies.
- Collaborate with providers, clinical staff, and administrative team members to ensure efficient workflow and high patient satisfaction.
Qualifications (Required):
- Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) — or ability to obtain certification within 6 months
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Active CPR Certification
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Medical Assistant
- Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Strong understanding of medical terminology
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented mindset and willingness to be flexible across multiple practice locations
- Bilingual skills a plus
