Sr. Staff Accountant

DUAL North America, Inc. is seeking a

Work Environment

Onsite (San Diego, CA)

Salary Range

$70,000-$80,000 annually

Essential Functions:

• Answering any questions from agents or underwriting regarding billing, both through email and by phone.
• Analysis and payment processing for carrier payments, inspection fees, commissions, and legal fees.
• Entering daily cash payments into the agency management system, preparing bank deposits and initiating bank transfers
• Monitoring past due receivables and performing necessary follow-up.
• Assisting with preparation for various carrier audits, as well as the annual financial audit.
• Assisting with month-end closing, including preparation of trial balances and other premium / revenue reporting.
• Other projects and duties as required.

Job Requirements (education, experience, skills):

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred
• 3+ years of experience in an accounting department or with an insurance agency/company.
• Ability and willingness to learn new software / systems
• Detail oriented
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet tight deadlines
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (experience with lookups and pivot tables a must)
• Previous experience with insurance administration systems (particularly IMS) desirable
