What you'll do

  • Operate a tractor-trailer with a focus on safety and compliance while transporting hazardous materials.
  • Load and unload freight, ensuring all materials are handled according to safety protocols.
  • Navigate various routes efficiently, delivering products on time while maintaining high standards of service.
  • Manage refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers as required by the job specifications.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Utilize manual transmission skills to enhance driving performance in diverse conditions.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle maintenance, and hours of service.
  • Collaborate with dispatchers and other team members to optimize routes and improve delivery efficiency.

Basic qualifications

  • Valid CDL Class A license with Hazmat endorsement.
  • Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with tractor-trailers and various freight types.
  • Familiarity with operating forklifts, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and handling refrigerated trailers.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in route driving with a strong understanding of logistics.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations related to hazardous materials transport.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
