Bright Star Academy School in Cedar Park is looking for vibrant, enthusiastic and loving Preschool and Pre-K Teachers to educate, care for and inspire the young minds in our early childhood classrooms. Using a variety of teaching methods, including creative expression, educational play and storytelling, you will teach children identify shapes, colors, numbers, and letters while providing them with foundational life skills and preparing them for the next stage of their education.

To be a successful teacher at Bright Star, you should have the patience, compassion and energy to successfully guide a class of young children, knowing that each child will have different needs, abilities, aptitudes and emotions.

The best candidate will be organized, clean and able to keep the children safe.

**Preschool and Pre-K Teacher Responsibilities**

  • Able to maintain a clean and safe learning environment at all times
  • Educating children about fundamental concepts, such as letters, numbers, shapes and colors
  • Encouraging social interactions between children and improving their self-esteem
  • Engaging creative methods of learning, such as storytelling, dramatic play, sensory exploration and group play
  • Planning comprehensive lesson plans using FrogStreet to address early childhood development needs
  • Monitoring free time on the playground
  • Communicating with parents on a regular basis
  • Following each child's development through observations, assessments, portfolios and parent/teacher conferences
  • Helping students work on skills needed for Kindergarten
