Director of Pediatric Services

Location: Berkeley, CA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Salary: $300,000–$310,000 annually

Summary:
We are hiring a Director of Pediatric Services to lead a pediatrics department that combines evidence-based medicine with community-rooted care in Berkeley, CA. This physician leader will guide a team of providers, use data to shape programs, and ensure that children and families receive care that respects their cultural background and lived experience.

Duties:

  • Supervising and mentoring pediatric clinicians and support staff
  • Using EHR and health statistics to monitor outcomes and improve care pathways
  • Setting clear clinical protocols and performance expectations
  • Ensuring adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards
  • Partnering with local organizations to address pediatric health gaps affecting Black children and other underserved groups

Requirements

  • Active California medical license with no disciplinary history
  • Board-certified in Pediatrics, Family Medicine, or Medicine/Pediatrics
  • Current DEA and BLS certifications
  • At least 7 years of ambulatory pediatric experience, including leadership responsibilities
  • Experience in community-based or FQHC environments
