Overview

We're looking for a driven, relationship-oriented Sales Representative who can represent both of our manufacturing businesses. This role focuses on identifying new opportunities, expanding existing relationships, and serving as the primary commercial contact across injection molding, design-for-manufacturability support, and precision machining services.

Key Responsibilities

New Business Development

  • Prospect and generate new leads across target industries: OEMs, manufacturers, product developers, engineering firms, and industrial brands.
  • Identify opportunities that fit either or both capabilities (plastics molding & metal machining).
  • Build a strong pipeline and manage opportunities through CRM (or existing process).

Customer Relationship & Account Management

  • Serve as the main point of contact for potential and existing customers.
  • Understand customer projects, technical needs, timelines, and decision processes.
  • Coordinate quoting activities with internal engineering, estimating, and operations teams.
  • Maintain long-term relationships through consistent communication and follow-up.

Cross-Company Representation

  • Educate customers on full capabilities from concept through production.
  • Assess customer needs and match them to the correct facility (Plymouth, Weyauwega, Bayfield).
  • Ensure projects are transitioned smoothly to the appropriate team post-sale.

Market Intelligence

  • Stay aware of trends in manufacturing, supply chain issues, competitor activities, and new product developments.
  • Report market observations to leadership to help guide strategy.

Sales Execution & Reporting

  • Track leads, quotes, and pipeline activity.
  • Provide weekly updates on in-flight opportunities.
  • Attend select trade shows, industry events, and customer visits.

Qualifications

  • Business development experience in manufacturing required (plastics, machining, metalworking, tooling, or related).
  • Strong technical curiosity and willingness to learn both businesses' capabilities.
  • Relationship-builder with excellent communication and follow-through.
  • Comfortable with travel across MN and WI (approx. 25–50% depending on season and pipeline).
  • Valid driver's license and ability to visit customer sites.

Compensation

  • Base salary of $80,000 to $120,000 based on experience and potential to convert existing book of business + commission structure tied to new business wins.
