Night Shift Release Clerk

Location: Buffalo, NY 14207

Salary:17$ - 20$/hour.

Permanent Role

Hours of work: Ideally 1100pm to 700am | 1000pm to 600am | 900pm to 500am

As a Release Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring that shipments are processed, released, and cleared accurately and on time with U.S. Customs. You will act as a key point of contact between transporters, clients, and customs authorities to keep the supply chain moving smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and review commercial documents (invoices, packing lists, bills of lading and PAPS #, etc.) for accuracy and compliance.
  • Enter data and file customs entries in accordance with applicable regulations.
  • Monitor shipment status to ensure timely release at the border.
  • Communicate with carriers, clients, and government agencies to resolve issues.
  • Identify and escalate any missing or incorrect documentation.
  • Ensure all shipments are released in a timely manner to avoid delays or penalties.
  • Maintain accurate records in the company's operating system.
  • Support internal teams (customs, operations, and accounting) when required.
  • Follow company procedures and compliance guidelines.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous experience in customs brokerage or logistics (an asset, not mandatory, ex: CCS).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Good communication skills in English (oral and written).
  • Comfortable with computers and data entry.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
