And so much more.Come break through with us.Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.Position OverviewThis position is responsible for sustaining the overall Product Quality Architecture and Quality Management Systems to ensure customer satisfaction and compliance with industry standards. The Quality Engineering Supervisor will collaborate closely with cross-functional groups, including Process Engineering and Product Line Management, to ensure customer Critical-to-Quality (CTQ) needs are consistently met.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive leadership in problem-solving, issue resolution, and follow-through on quality-related challenges impacting manufacturing operations.Coach, mentor, and develop a team of quality engineers and technicians, focusing on daily responsibilities and long-term professional development.Collaborate with Technology and Engineering teams to enhance existing product designs and oversee new product transfers, ensuring alignment with customer specifications and expectations.Lead efforts to understand and meet internal and external customer needs, both stated and implied, through continuous monitoring, improvement, and maintenance of robust quality systems.Implement and execute the Product Quality Architecture strategy effectively.Engage with various levels of management within Corning Optical Communications to address quality issues, drive problem resolution, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.Lead initiatives to reduce customer returns and notifications, driving down the cost of product quality through continuous improvement and root cause analysis.Ensure the plant maintains a robust and compliant Quality Management System that meets industry standards and certifications.Travel RequirementsMinimal travel required (
