Compensation: $25/hour Set Weekly Schedule Part-Time

About the Role

SWTHZ is growing into multiple studio locations, and we're seeking a reliable, skilled Facilities & Studio Maintenance Technician to keep our spaces operating at their best. This role ensures that our saunas, cold plunges, showers, and studios stay safe, functional, and beautifully maintained.

This is a part-time position with a consistent weekly schedule, ideal for someone who wants steady hours, predictable tasks, and a mix of hands-on work, troubleshooting, and brand-quality upkeep.

This Position- Core Responsibilities & Preventative Maintenance:

Sauna Maintenance

• Adjust sauna doors and hinges; tighten or replace handles
• Repair or replace sauna benches, wood slats, and worn planks
• Inspect sauna benches, planks, and door latches monthly
• Perform annual tasks: sauna wood refinishing, varnishing, and plank replacement

Cold Plunge Maintenance (Company: PLUNGE training provided)

• Repair or replace cold plunge chillers
• Perform regular back flushes using studio kits
• Deep clean Cold Plunge tubs semi annually
• Troubleshoot OR/CF equipment codes
• Clear condenser fans quarterly

Shower & Plumbing Maintenance

• Tighten shower handles, heads, and fixtures
• Replace vitamin C shower infusers
• Perform minor plumbing repairs: leaks, clogs, running toilets
• Replace caulking/sealant around sinks, showers, and wet areas
• Inspect plumbing monthly for leaks, slow drains, and sealant wear

Lobby, Suite, & Facility Repairs

• Tighten or replace door handles, locks, hinges, and wall hardware
• Adjust or realign doors that stick or drag
• Repair or replace towel hooks, shelving brackets, mirrors, décor, and small furniture
• Lubricate squeaky doors, dryers, and moving parts
• Conduct monthly hardware checks (handles, hinges, hooks, fixtures)
• Repaint or deep clean lobby/suite walls quarterly
• Refresh full interior paint or touch-ups annually

Electrical & Tech Support

• Replace burnt-out bulbs (ceiling, vanity, sauna lighting)
• Repair or replace light switches and dimmers
• Check and replace power outlets as needed
• Mount, adjust, or troubleshoot TVs and display connections
• Assist with WiFi extender placement and basic connection issues
• Confirm surge protectors and power strips are in good condition monthly

Aesthetic & Brand Upkeep

• Perform paint touch-ups on walls, trim, and high-traffic areas
• Remove scuff marks and maintain clean, fresh studio appearance
• Inspect signage and branded décor quarterly for wear or fading
• Support annual repainting/brand refresh where needed

HVAC & Exterminator Coordination

• Coordinate quarterly exterminator services
• Inspect HVAC vents/filters quarterly for dust buildup
• Assist in scheduling annual professional HVAC servicing

Equipment & Safety Review

• Conduct monthly safety checks (power strips, outlets, wall fixtures)
• Perform annual review of equipment warranties and replacement needs

Schedule & Work Expectations

• Part-time, consistent weekly schedule
• Approximately 15–30 hours/week (customizable based on candidate)
• In-person work required across multiple SWTHZ locations
• Occasional urgent repairs or same-day fixes as needed
• Must have reliable transportation; mileage reimbursement available

What We're Looking For

• Handyman, facility tech, or maintenance experience
• Strong troubleshooting skills; comfortable working independently
• Reliable, punctual, and organized
• Takes pride in maintaining beautiful spaces
• Comfortable with basic plumbing, light electrical, equipment maintenance, and tools
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physical tasks (bending, kneeling, climbing step ladders)

Compensation

• $25/hour
• Part-time, hourly role
