Sales Representative-San Diego area

*NOTE* THIS POSITION IS 100% COMMISSION DRIVEN-San Diego area

The Sales Representative position is responsible for providing complete customer service with regards to completing the sales process with customers at the customer's store location. The Sales Representative takes the customers' orders from all departments within their assigned stores, prepares the sales order using a handheld computer, transmits the orders to the company on a timely basis, and issues credit for all out of code or unsaleable products.

Essential duties and responsibilities

• Responsible for completing the sales process at all customer stores on an assigned route daily.

• Responsible for rotating company products, proper merchandise (when needed) and removing out of code products from customer shelves and issuing credit to the customer's account.

• Properly build, maintain, reset, and sign all displays.

• Replace price labels & POP as needed (specified accounts).

• Manage and maintain a neat and organized backroom at customer locations.

• Responsible for collecting payments from customers and submitting monies received to office personnel on a 24-hour basis. Monies may also be deposited directly into the company's bank account.

• Dusting, Stocking, and facing grocery sections. Stocking and facing deli and meat sections. Check for proper rotation. Must leave store faced and stocked before leaving premises.

• Must maintain current DMV drivers' license, valid car insurance and report any outside work accident or traffic violations to Human Resources.

• Provide a professional image and excellent customer service to all Marquez Brothers Enterprises' customers.

• Uphold company values, business ethics and maintain the highest level of confidentiality concerning company assets and proprietary information.

• Maintain professional communication with customer representatives, co-workers, and management.

• Inquire about the level of satisfaction with customers to promptly resolve significant service issues and communicate issues with management.

• Attend bi-weekly department meetings (Friday and when scheduled).

• Report all vehicle accidents, property damage, and injuries to your supervisor/manager immediately.

• Follow all safety policies and procedures.

• Dress attire is strictly enforced, and company uniform is required.

• The employee identification badge must be visible during working hours.

• Other duties may be assigned.

Physical demands and work environment

The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Physical demands – frequent sitting, driving, walking, kneeling, reaching. Occasional climbing (stairs - ladders) and lifting to 50 lbs.

Work environment – Driving, entering customer's locations, fast pace, Cold temperature areas from 36F - 40F degrees. Walking onto wet surfaces (Deli and Meat cooler departments, receiving areas where heavy equipment might be used by customer personnel - Forklifts and Electric Pallet Jacks).

Qualifications

• High school diploma

• Minimum one-year sales experience.

• Sales experience in Hispanic food industry preferred.

• Must pass a post-offer drug screening, physical, and lifting test.

• Class "C" license and clean DMV record

• Valid car insurance.

• Bilingual must be fluent in English and Spanish.

• Attendance – must be prompt and punctual.

• Confidential – must be able to maintain company's confidentiality agreement (failing to do so could result in termination for violation of company's policy).

• Reasoning ability— Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

• Language skills— Excellent customer service, strong communication skills and handle all work-related issues in a professional manner, able to interact with internal and external personnel. The ability to speak read and write in English and Spanish.
