Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregivers PRN to provide essential support and care to individuals in their homes. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care and have experience working with diverse populations, including seniors and individuals with disabilities.

Duties

  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Provide medication administration as per care plans and ensure compliance with prescribed schedules.
  • Monitor vital signs and report any changes in the client's condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
  • Engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
  • Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts for safe patient transfers when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, including patient observations and any changes in behavior or health status.
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in home health care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group home settings is preferred.
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
  • Strong skills in patient observation and monitoring, with the ability to recognize changes in client conditions.
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, or Alzheimer's care is a plus.
  • Familiarity with creating and following care plans tailored to individual client needs.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for patient transfers or mobility assistance.
  • Excellent communication skills and a compassionate demeanor when interacting with clients and their families.
