Position Type: Full-Time, Salaried

Salary Range: $50,000 – $60,000 annually

Schedule: Minimum 40 hours/week, including nights and weekends

Position Summary

The Steward Manager is responsible for leading the steward department and overseeing all aspects of equipment logistics and inventory for catered events. This role plays a critical part in the successful execution of our events by ensuring that all catering and event equipment is properly inventoried, packed, transported, and returned. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the steward team, including hiring, training, and scheduling.
  • Develop and maintain eventspecific pack lists to ensure all required equipment is prepared and ready for transport.
  • Oversee the inventory management of all catering and event equipment, including tracking usage, performing regular audits, and identifying needs for repairs or replacements.
  • Coordinate with the culinary and event planning teams to determine equipment needs for each event.
  • Ensure timely and accurate packing, loading, and delivery of equipment to and from events.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of the warehouse and equipment storage areas.
  • Implement and enforce operational standards and safety protocols.
  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of events as needed.
  • Maintain relationships with vendors and rental companies, if applicable.

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in stewarding, logistics, or equipment management in a catering, hospitality, or events environment.
  • Proven leadership experience with strong team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and work on your feet for extended periods.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred.
