We are seeking a Business Analyst to support digital and AI-driven transformation initiatives for upstream and midstream operators. This role bridges business and technology, ensuring that operational challenges are clearly defined, translated into solution requirements, and delivered with measurable business value. You will play a critical role in capturing requirements, documenting workflows, analyzing data, and partnering with technical teams to design, adopt, and scale AI-powered solutions across drilling, production, and midstream operations.

This position is ideal for business analysts who want to be at the forefront of AI adoption in oil & gas — enabling copilots, predictive analytics, and intelligent automation to move from concept to field impact.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with drilling, production, and midstream stakeholders to gather and refine requirements for AI/ML and digital solutions.
  • Document workflows and processes, identifying opportunities for AI augmentation, automation, and predictive insights.
  • Translate business needs into clear solution requirements for engineers, data scientists, and developers.
  • Collaborate on the design and rollout of AI-powered dashboards, copilots, agents and workflow automations that improve efficiency and decision-making.
  • Support testing, validation, and user acceptance of AI solutions to ensure they align with business needs and deliver measurable ROI.
  • Assist with training, adoption, and change management to build confidence in AI-enabled ways of working.
  • Act as a liaison between technical teams and field users, ensuring clarity, alignment, and adoption.

Qualifications

  • Strong business analysis skills: requirements gathering, workflow documentation, stakeholder communication.
  • Knowledge of oil & gas operations (production, SCADA, PI, logistics, contracts).
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with cloud and AI platforms (Azure, Power Platform, Cognitive Services, Azure OpenAI) a plus.
  • Ability to analyze and query data using SQL or Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain AI/ML concepts in business terms.
  • Consulting mindset with a focus on driving measurable outcomes and adoption.
