ANEW is focused on changing the culture and demographics of industries that have historically not been diverse or inclusive. POSITION TITLE: Program Coordinator Reporting to the Senior Program Manager of the Career Exploration department, the Program Coordinator will be responsible for construction boot camps targeted toward youth ages 14-21 in order to explore construction career pathways. The Career Exploration Department consists of two main programs. One program serves students who have an IEP, a 504 plan, or any disability, while the second program focuses on students aged 14-21 who are currently incarcerated and are in juvenile institutions. The goal of the youth exploration program is to introduce construction career pathways to in-school youth. While the goal of the TEPA program is to provide students with a pathway to employment through nontraditional post-secondary education opportunities, primarily in the construction trades. In both programs, the program coordinator will facilitate a pre-apprenticeship boot camp that aim to introduce students to trade pathways and develop essential work-readiness skills, including professional development, financial literacy, emotional intelligence, and self-advocacy. A successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal communication skills, be committed to working with diverse populations, and lead with compassion. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Maintain and use program-based computerized systems, write, and review reports, and maintain accurate records.
Lead students through essential skills for the workplace training, and job readiness curriculum.
Provide comprehensive project support which includes meeting and event planning, tracking activities to timelines, data entry and support, and assisting in the management of multiple concurrent projects.
Provide excellent customer service as needed. Develop and maintain efficient communication processes.
Work collaboratively/cooperatively with others on the team and individuals across the organization to develop positive working relationships with co-workers, contract managers, and the students/families served.
Instruction:
- Provide instruction to students individually or in small groups in a variety of learning
activities; promote student understanding of materials presented. Reinforce and
reviews concepts and skills. Adjust tasks to suit the needs of students.
- Demonstrate the correct and practical applications with a variety of construction
hand and power tools used in the construction trade industry.
- Maintain student records, including attendance, graphs data, compliance in grading
information, scoring, Etc., and prepare students' progress information.
- Ensure safety practices are being taught, understood, adhered to, and observed.
Program Planning:
- Collaborate with Regional Transition Consultants, schools, and community-based
organizations to identify students who have an IEP, a 504 plan, or a documented
disability.
- Collaborate with DCYF/JR employees to continue programming in JR facilities.
- Coordinate activities customized to the individual student's needs, considering the
student's skills, abilities, preferences, and interests.
- Prepare written program reports for internal management and funders.
- Conduct and track student enrollment and outreach services.
- Develop and maintain a program evaluation framework to assess the strengths of the
program and to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop educational activities that include workplace readiness, self-advocacy, and job
exploration relating to apprenticeship pathways and opportunities.
Program Leadership:
- Successfully execute the Youth Exploration Program, related activities, and workplace
readiness in accordance with ANEW's mission and contract deliverables.
- Present to a variety of audiences to educate them on the Youth Exploration Programs.
- Plan Youth Exploration Curriculum. Deliver curriculum and supervise student
participants during Exploration workshops.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
- Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry items up to 15 pounds (e.g., office supplies, small
packages).
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment (e.g., computers, printers,
telephones).
- Visual acuity to read printed and digital documents for extended periods.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Work Environment:
- Typical office environment with moderate noise levels and controlled indoor temperatures.
- Standard business hours apply; occasional extended hours may be required based on workload
or deadlines.
- Position may involve occasional meetings or collaboration in conference rooms or virtual
settings.
MINIMUM / REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4+ years of experience working in Program Coordination, specifically in workforce
development, education, or support services required.
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Services, Youth Development, Social Work,
or related field highly preferred.
- Experience managing classrooms or groups of young people with IEP, 504 plans, and
students with documented disabilities.
- Experience providing employment navigation for young adults. This includes
identifying and reducing barriers that prevent successful job placement.
- Experience working with incarcerated youth preferred, but not required.
- A passion for serving incarcerated youth.
- Experience working with people in an educational environment including school
administration, staff, parents, and others.
- Commitment to DEI values and understanding of equity and social justice principles
and how they can be applied internally and in the field.

- Comfort with learning new digital technologies and engaging with colleagues on
efforts to improve internal systems and practices.
- Strong oral and written communications skills.
- Demonstrated experience researching, compiling, analyzing, and reviewing reports.
- Skill in synthesizing a variety of information.
- Experience writing progress and project updates.
- Flexibility and adaptability in working with a growing non-profit.
- Strong communication and administrative skills with a proven track record of
managing multiple projects.
Experience in working with collaborative partnerships.
Ability to safely and legally operate a large passenger van, and/or other company passenger vehicles.

- A requirement of this position is driving company vehicles, and large vans, a valid U.S. Driver's license and proof of insurability is
required.
WORK LOCATION: ANEW Tukwila Training Center and Satellite locations as assigned. This position is 100% in-person
without the option of remote work.
WORK SCHEDULE: This is a full-time, exempt position. Regular workweek is 40 hours, Monday through Friday
8am-4pm. Occasional evenings, weekends, and travel may be required.
WORK LOCATION: Tukwila WA, and other Satellite locations as communicated.
This position is classified as at-will, meaning either the employee or the employer may terminate the
employment relationship at any time, with or without cause or advanced notice
SALARY: This position is a paid exempt position with a salary range of $68, $73,226.66 per year.
BENEFITS
The person in this position is expected to serve a 90-day probation period. Benefits will not be included
until and unless the position is made permanent, which is contingent upon performance evaluation,
funding, board direction, and potential re-development of the organization and its training/service
delivery models. If the position is more than 30/hours per week, employer paid medical benefits will
include medical, dental, and vision benefits.
A portion of the medical premium is made by the employee through a pre-tax contribution at time of
payroll posting. Employees at 30/hours a week or greater qualify for full benefits and pay a pre-tax
contribution of $80 per month. Additional employer paid benefits include basic life insurance, vacation,
sick leave, holiday pay. ANEW also contributes a 4% match to a 401k after one year of employment.
ANEW Employees will not be permitted to use paid vacation or sick leave until successful completion of
their 90-day probationary period.
