Supportive and experienced Newborn Care Specialist needed for a precious baby boy coming soon

  • Charge(s):M, due December 2025
  • Hours:Sunday-Thursday night 10:00pm-6:00am
  • Guaranteed Weekly Hours: 40
  • Paid Time Off Benefits: Not applicable for this role
  • Driving Required: No
  • Cross Streets: E McDowell Rd & N Pima Rd
  • Starting Hourly Rate: $45/hour
  • Projected start date: Middle of January 2026
  • Position Duration: At least 3 months, possibly 4
  • Must hold a current, valid Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) certification

NCS Job Requirements:

  • Provide expert overnight or round-the-clock care for newborns, including feeding, diapering, soothing, and sleep support

  • Must hold a current, valid Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) certification

  • Guide parents on establishing healthy sleep routines and age-appropriate schedules

  • Manage bottle prep, cleaning, and sterilization of feeding equipment

  • Track and document feeding times, sleep patterns, diaper changes, and developmental

observations

  • Support breastfeeding mom with positioning, pumping schedules, and lactation-friendly routines (non-medical guidance only)

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for the baby

  • Implement best practices for safe sleep and newborn safety standards

  • Assist with newborn-related laundry and nursery organization

  • Provide education and reassurance to parents regarding newborn behavior, cues, and care

  • Offer guidance on transitioning to independent sleep and age-appropriate milestones

  • Uphold strict confidentiality and professionalism within the family home

  • Collaborate with parents to create customized care plans to support family needs and routines

  • Stay current on newborn safety guidelines, sleep recommendations, and industry best practices

  • Must have a safe, reliable vehicle to drive to and from work

  • Must be comfortable swimming and be comfortable administering life saving measures in and around a body of water, if needed.

  • Will keep track of charges' needs and communicate with the family to purchase/order what is needed.

  • Must be ok with updating their Flu and Tdap vaccines.

  • Pictures should not be taken of charge or the home and posted on social media, without permission. Nanny may take pictures on their phone to send to the parents.

  • Phones and other electronics use should be limited while employee is working.

  • Must pass a background check and have a clean driving record.

  • Must have a current CPR and first aid certification.

  • Must abide by a no smoking and no vaping policy at all times.

To be considered, you must: Submit your resume, have a minimum of 3 years of nanny experience, provide 3 professional childcare references, pass a background screening, have a safe driving record, have reliable transportation, and meet for a face-to-face interview.
