Summary
We are seeking a Mail Processing Clerk to join our dynamic team at Nexsort Services Ink. In this role, you will assist with mail preparation, processing, and sorting by zip code destination, ensuring accurate processing and timely preparation. Ideal candidates will be comfortable using computers, highly focused, and be able to perform minor troubleshooting. We are looking for workers who are highly organized, have excellent attention to detail, and can work independently and/or as part of a team with minimal supervision. Your contributions will be vital in helping us maintain our reputation for reliability and efficiency.
Full-time hours are Mon - Fri between 2:00pm - 10:00pm.
Responsibilities may include but not be limited to the following depending on job assignment/position:
- Sorting mail by zip code destination manually and with the use of automated equipment
- Quality control
- Loading/unloading containers of mail.
- Assist with the preparation and processing of mail in various work areas as needed.
- Transferring mail from sorting machine into containers for transport.
- Lift and maneuver containers of mail.
- Activity logs and light record keeping/data entry.
- Load/unload truck with use of pallet jack.
- Machine prep and set up prior to daily operation.
- Minor troubleshooting.
- Upload/download computer/electronic files.
- Create and maintain computer/electronic files.
- Operate mail processing equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Assist with the preparation of palletized mail shipments.
- Loading/unloading mail shipments.
- Use of warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and banding machines
Requirements
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to read and interpret instructions provided either in the form of written job aids and/or computer prompts when navigating and utilizing computer applications.
- Ability to perform physical labor as needed, standing, lifting, bending.
- Experience with shipping and receiving processes is preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus.
