Symtech Corp. is looking for a reliable Warehouse Specialist to work at Naval Station 32nd St in San Diego.

Pay: $21.90/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:30am-3:00pm

Job Location: San Diego, CA

Located at Naval Station 32nd St

Required Experience:

  • 1 or more years of warehouse experience
  • Forklift certification
  • Active Secret Clearance Required

Job Description:

The Warehouse Specialist/Forklift Operator will be asked for perform a variety of duties including the following:

  • Understanding the establishment's storage plan
  • Verifying materials or merchandise against receiving documents
  • Noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages
  • Routing materials to prescribed storage locations
  • Storing, stacking, and palletizing materials using IAW prescribed storage methods
  • Rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials
  • Examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage
  • Removing material from storage and repairing it for shipment
  • Operating hand or power trucks when necessary for performing warehousing duties
  • Printing Navy ERP labels and applying to material
  • Recording transactions into Navy ERP
  • Preparing material for local delivery by placing them in shipping containers (specific operations performed will be dependent on type, size, number of units to be packed, type of container employed, and method of shipment)
  • Identifying various items of stock to verify content
  • Selecting appropriate type and size of container
  • Inserting items in container(s)
  • Using excelsior or other material to prevent breakage or damage
  • Closing and sealing container(s)
  • Applying labels or entering identifying data on container(s)
  • Conducting material inventory count to include identifying material stock number, part number, quantities, warehouse, and bin locations
  • Verifying physical to recorded locations and stock information
  • Identifying and resolving various storage and material issues toward development of accurate material stock information
