Asset Management Transformation
Optomi, in partnership with a major accounting firm, is seeking an experienced Middle Office Transformation Contractor for a full-time, on-site role based in Jersey City, NJ or New York, NY.
This Middle Office Transformation Contractor will be responsible for driving operational improvements and transformation initiatives within asset management middle and back office functions. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in asset management operations, IBOR/ABOR systems, and business analysis to support process optimization and system implementation projects. This role is perfect for a seasoned professional who can navigate complex financial workflows, analyze data to drive decisions, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful business solutions.

Experience of the right candidate:
- 10+ years of experience in the asset management industry, with a strong focus on middle and back office operations.
- Deep understanding of asset management principles across various asset classes.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Investment Book of Record (IBOR) and Accounting Book of Record (ABOR) concepts and systems.
- Hands-on experience with downstream systems that utilize ABOR data.
- Strong business analysis capabilities, including requirements gathering, process definition, and workflow improvement.
- Proficiency in data analysis to support business decisions and drive operational enhancements.
- Solid understanding of accounting methodologies relevant to asset management and financial reporting.
- Proven project management skills with the ability to lead initiatives, manage requirements, and troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work seamlessly across multiple teams and projects.
- Strong adaptability and problem-solving skills in complex environments.
