The
Operations Coordinator
works with the housekeeping leadership team to build a strong team focused on high quality results. The selected candidate will assist with the office duties of the housekeeping department such as room assignments, payroll, ordering, and more. The right candidate is highly organized, an excellent communicator and has the ability to effectively work with highly diverse teams.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Assign daily tasks and schedules to the housekeeping staff, (room attendants, public area attendants, and housemen) and monitor their completion and quality.
  • Handle guest complaints and concerns regarding housekeeping services in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Inspect guest rooms and public areas for cleanliness and compliance with Hyatt standards and procedures.
  • Communicate with the front desk, maintenance, and other departments to coordinate guest requests, special needs, and maintenance issues.
  • Maintain and monitor inventory of housekeeping supplies, equipment, and linen, and order or requisition them as needed.
  • Prepare and submit reports on housekeeping activities, and staff performance.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and Hyatt policies and procedures.

Open availability is required – willingness and availability to work early mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays are required for this role.

Qualifications

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
  • Bilingual – Spanish and English is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skill

  • Ability to effectively work with highly diverse teams.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and walk moderate distances
  • Proficient knowledge of computer applications (MS Office, Outlook etc.)
  • Previous housekeeping or front desk experience preferred.
