Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) Specialist to design, develop, test, and maintain advanced integration solutions supporting our enterprise systems. The successful candidate will work closely with internal and external customers to ensure system functionality, availability, and reliability meet business needs. The role involves supporting and administering the Meter Data Management system, managing J2EE Application Servers, and ensuring the security, performance, and stability of multiple integration platforms. This position requires a strong background in enterprise middleware, system administration, and scripting, with a focus on operational excellence and proactive system performance management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and support application integration solutions to facilitate business processes and data flow.
• Support and administer the EnergyIP Meter Data Management system, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
• Manage and maintain J2EE Application Server platforms (WebSphere, WebLogic, Tomcat) to support web-based applications.
• Collaborate with application development, infrastructure, and support teams to ensure project deliverables are met and systems are aligned with organizational standards.
• Work with vendors and business units to design, test, document, and implement integration architectures that meet operational and service quality standards.
• Provide proactive and reactive support for mission-critical systems, including real-time monitoring, alerts, and performance tuning.
• Automate system administration tasks through scripting and develop custom solutions for system optimization.
• Maintain high levels of system security, including host and network security protocols.
• Conduct complex troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and resolve performance or system issues.
• Cross-train team members on new integration designs and support best practices.
• Communicate technical solutions effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Manage multiple priorities across projects and contribute to strategic initiatives as needed.
• Support and perform other duties as assigned, ensuring consistent system operation and performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• At least 7 years of experience working with enterprise middleware systems, including but not limited to IBM MQ, WebSphere, ACE, MuleSoft, Tomcat, WebLogic, Active MQ, Kafka, and EnergyIP Meter Data Management.
• Proven expertise in administration, performance tuning, and development within IBM ACE and MuleSoft environments.
• Experience with WebSphere node development, API management, and custom WebSphere nodes.
• Strong skills in API development using IBM ACE and MuleSoft, along with administration of Tomcat, WebLogic, and WebSphere on UNIX and Windows.
• Experience installing and configuring high-availability environments for IBM MQ, ACE, and WebSphere.
• Proficiency in Java or ABAP programming, JVM tuning, and scripting languages (Perl, Shell, XSLT, DataWeave, SQL).
• Knowledge of Service-Oriented Architectures (SOAP, WSDL) and RESTful services (RAML, Swagger).
• Data administration experience with Oracle, SQL Server, Hadoop on UNIX and Windows systems.
• Familiarity with project management concepts, tools, and multi-project coordination.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications in IBM ACE and MuleSoft.
• Utility industry experience.
• Master's degree in Information Systems or related field.

Work Environment & Additional Details:

• This role involves supporting critical enterprise systems with a focus on availability, security, and performance.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation for system support outside of regular hours.
• Occasional travel or on-site visits may be required.
