SUMMARY
The Events Operations Manager is responsible for the seamless execution of all on-site events, ensuring an extraordinary level of hospitality. This role oversees the operational side of events, working closely with the Events & Catering Manager to bring every planned detail to life. The Events Operations Manager leads the event service team, ensuring every event is executed with precision, efficiency, and an unwavering commitment to guest satisfaction. From orchestrating venue setups to coordinating service flow and managing real-time adjustments, this position ensures a smooth and flawless event experience for every guest.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a strong background in banquet operations, food and beverage service, and team management. They thrive in fast-paced, high-energy environments and have an innate ability to anticipate needs, resolve challenges, and create exceptional guest experiences. With a sharp eye for detail and a proactive approach, they work alongside service teams to ensure that every event reflects the high standards and culture of the ranch.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the execution of all events, ensuring every detail aligns with the plan created by the Events & Catering Manager.
- Actively manage event registrations, reservations, and sign-ups. Ensure utmost accuracy and clarity, transferring logistics to updated floorplans as necessary.
- Manage Sleigh Ride Dinner alongside Horse Program manager with a focus on the administrative tasks.
- Manage Rodeo and Summer BBQ execution.
- Direct and lead the banquet service team, ensuring smooth operations and an elevated level of hospitality.
- Manage event setup, service flow, and breakdown, ensuring seamless transitions and impeccable presentation.
- Maintain communication with kitchen, bar, and service teams to ensure timely and accurate food and beverage service.
- Create an environment where every team member feels respected, supported, and motivated to perform at their best. Lead with mentorship, collaboration, and encouragement.
- Provide guidance and hands-on support to event staff, nurturing professional growth and operational excellence.
- Support all Food & Beverage operations.
- Work alongside other departments to ensure seamless execution of event. Communicating with fellow managers and directing staff as needed.
- Conduct pre-event meetings with staff to review event details, guest expectations, and service assignments.
- Ensure all service staff are trained in best practices for high-touch hospitality and seamless guest interaction.
- Act as the primary on-site problem solver, adjusting logistics as needed to accommodate real-time changes.
- Communicate as necessary with clients and guests; ensure timely and professional responses.
- Maintain guest-focused service, ensuring personalized touches and anticipating needs before they arise.
- Enforce safety, sanitation, and service standards, maintaining compliance with all regulations.
- Manage banquet inventory, equipment, and supplies, ensuring readiness for each event.
- Uphold the overall cleanliness, organization, and professional appearance of banquet spaces.
- Work closely with vendors, entertainment providers, and external service teams to ensure smooth event integration.
- Conduct post-event evaluations, gathering feedback from staff and guests to continuously enhance future events.

- Respect the Chain of Command — Support decisions made by senior leadership, communicate them clearly to teams, and model alignment. Feedback and questions should be raised through proper channels with respect.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in banquet management, catering, or food & beverage operations.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing service teams in a high-end hospitality setting.
- Extensive knowledge of food and beverage service, including wine and cocktail pairings.
- Proven ability to manage multiple events simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of service.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt quickly to changes during events.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a guest-first mentality.
- Experience in event logistics, banquet setup, and team training.
- Proficiency in banquet event order (BEO) systems and event management software.
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality, event management, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Experience working in luxury hospitality or private event settings is a plus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Fast-paced, guest-facing environment requiring hands-on leadership and multitasking.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in alignment with event schedules.
- Frequent standing, walking, and lifting throughout events.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and move event equipment as needed.
- Exposure to outdoor event settings and varying weather conditions.
- Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate the operational needs of each event.
