Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled software Technical Program Manager to drive execution and deliverables for vehicle infotainment systems. This role is crucial for ensuring our infotainment platforms meet aggressive release, performance, quality, and feature-delivery goals across vehicle targets. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in software release management, development, and hardware-software integration, coupled with expert program management skills.

Responsibilities
  • Establish and manage robust Infotainment release processes, quality controls, and development gates
  • Manage release schedules, cross-organizational dependencies, and commitments
  • Develop and scale process to improve quality, testing coverage (including automation), integration criteria, and release readiness
  • Drive and maintain best-in-class Infotainment system performance, focusing on areas such as boot-up time, user interface responsiveness, and stability
  • Work closely with engineering, testing, and analytics teams to define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and technical success metrics
Qualifications
  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or other related technical fields
  • In depth knowledge of computer
  • Expert in agile processes and running software teams using JIRA, Confluence, and other program management tools
  • Familiarity with test automation frameworks and quality assurance processes

Bonus qualifications

  • Automotive industry experience
  • Knowledge of vehicle communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, Ethernet)
Pay Disclosure

Salary Range for Palo Alto, California Based Candidates: $213,000 - $266,300 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).

Benefits Summary: Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time and part-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Full Time Employee coverage is effective on the first day of employment. Part-Time employee coverage is effective the first of the month following 90 days of employment.
