We are an RV dealership seeking to hire several additional RV Prep Technicians for our service team. The main responsibility of a Prep Technician is to prepare each RV for customer pickup. Since new RVs arrive from the factory without prior testing and operation of components, or cleaning, it's our job to handle these important tasks before delivery to the customer.

As an RV Prep Technician, you should have basic skills in carpentry, plumbing, and electrical systems (12V and 110V). Each RV prep requires completion of items on a checklist, such as ensuring that all doors and drawers operate and latch correctly, repairing minor defects in interior woodwork, and documenting major damage for warranty claims so the manufacturer can replace defective items at no cost to us or the customer. The checklist also involves testing all plumbing fixtures—such as sinks, showers, toilets, and exterior showers—and operating appliances like air conditioners, furnaces, refrigerators, freezers, ice makers, ovens, microwaves, leveling systems, satellite equipment, washer/dryers, dishwashers, and more.

At TerryTown, we value employee longevity and prefer to develop our team internally. Many employees start as wash technicians, progress to prep roles, and eventually become certified technicians working in our full service center in another building on our campus.

While we offer training to suitable candidates, fundamental knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work is required. Prep technicians provide their own tools.

Typical work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., though occasional early or late shifts may be necessary. Our shop operates only on weekdays, so weekend work is rarely needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
