Responsibilities

  • Maintain a spotless kitchen environment by thoroughly cleaning dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold health and safety standards.
  • Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, portioning, and assembling ingredients to support chefs and culinary staff.
  • Support catering and banquet events by preparing food items, setting up serving stations, and ensuring timely delivery of dishes.
  • Buss tables promptly during service hours to ensure cleanliness and readiness for incoming guests.
  • Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures, storage guidelines, and sanitation practices.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy service periods while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Contribute to the overall cleanliness of the dining area, kitchen, and storage spaces through regular cleaning routines.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key
  • Familiarity with basic food handling procedures and sanitation standards.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy items or moving quickly around the kitchen.
  • Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting colleagues during busy shifts.
  • Experience with food preparation, bussing, or catering is a plus; previous banquet or hotel experience is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols related to cooking, cleaning, and food handling practices.
